Most gear advice is a packing list. This isn’t that. The posts in this section treat your setup as a system that has to keep working when a connection drops, a device fails, or you’re somewhere the infrastructure isn’t what you’re used to — the same logic we apply to money in our Financial Stack.

The Philosophy Behind This Section

Every stack in this section follows the same rule: no single tool should be a single point of failure. That’s true for your internet connection, your SIM setup, and the physical gear you carry — redundancy where it actually matters, and no more weight or spend than that requires.

For the financial equivalent of this thinking, see our Money hub — the Banking Stack and the original 3-Tier Financial Stack apply the same redundancy logic to your accounts and cards.
